SIMPLIHOME Acadian Solid Wood 62-inch wide Transitional Wide Storage Cabinet in Rustic Natural Aged Brown.I bought this to be a great looking display cabinet. I got the "Rustic natural aged brown" color because I thought it would go better with the black finishes in the room. It looks great in terms of design, but the "light golden brown" or "white" colors would have been a better choice for making it easy to see the items you actually want to display inside.The cabinet was well packaged, though I did notice slight shipping damage. They pack the underside of the cabinet top facing out, so any minor damage that makes it through the packaging isn't actually visible when you assemble the cabinet. Since this is an inexpensive cabinet, I prefer the lower price over paying for more robust packaging materials.The cabinet itself is made from a solid wood, including the shelves. The finish looks good, but the stain is a little uneven on some edges. This could be from the finishing process or maybe some wear that occurs from items moving during shipment. The cabinet seems to be some species of a soft wood. So don't over-tighten the attaching hardware. The instructions and separately labelled bags are very helpful, but it will still take a couple of hours to assemble this. It uses a combination of dowels, quarter-turn fasteners, and wood screws. There is no gluing. This makes it faster & easier to assemble, but not quite as durable as higher quality furniture. So if you move this cabinet around frequently, the quarter-turn fasteners may loosen up over time.Overall, I think this is a great-looking piece that won't have issues with the top and shelves sagging over time the way particle board furniture does. And you get that at a price that's close to what particle board furniture costs.
